Provinssirock, se convertido en uno de los festivales de rock mas importes de Finlandia, llegando a reunir a cerca 80.000 asistentes. El festival se realiza desde el año 1979, y por su cartel han desfilado artistas como David Bowie, Alice in chains, Faith no more, Garbage o Ramones.
